inspiration.

punk as fuck. say what you want about the legitimacy of sid vicious' role as a musician, there's never been any doubt as to MM's eye for a good looking stick up kid. he certainly got more than he could handle in this lad here. to be honest, sid and nancy is still pretty much my favorite movie, and certainly shaped my future fashion predilections. i owned the great rock n roll swindle as my first piece of vinyl and pretty much never looked back from there. he's just a fucking glorious mess. love him. love it all.

F--K THE CLOCK.

Oh, Patti Smith. Sometimes I just have to quietly reflect on her ridiculous, balls to the wall, aggressive yet poetic romantic genius. Thanks, PS.

More Victory. I'm like Attila The Hun.

eBay is such a ridiculous wonderland. I'm really not supposed to shop so much for me, but at this point I'm evening it out by unloading over ten times more than what I'm bringing in. My closet is sad and barren. Really. No, I promise. It's close to depressing. Currently, that's life. I have to edit down, compile, edit down, compile. I did break out my trusty Singer sewing machine in preparation for some really fun reworkings and fashion experiments. I'm so influenced by vintage, and I want to continue to celebrate it by bringing it back to life, so to speak. It's not an original idea by any stretch of the imagination, but it's a bit like recycling newspapers, cans, et al. One person does it, it's still good. Twenty people, even better. You get the picture. I've been really excited about getting some key life long pieces taken care of for my own wardrobe. As you can see, I'm well on my way. Some combat boots in my size, which is something of a miracle, vintage punk belt and boot strap courtesy of an old Cleveland punk I found on eBay, and an AllSaints deconstructed blazer. Lovely. More to come. Just don't tell my significant other.

Fashionista, Motherf***rs!

Right.
Sooooo....I'm just giving in, as it were. You know, I wander around in the nebulous ether that is the available internet constantly. It's necessary, for work and school. I'm a full time art student, online boutique owner, web designer, vintage fanatic, rock n roller, musician, poet, blah blah blah, photographer, blah, painter, blah. Basically, if it's artistic, I feel compelled to do it. I can't stop myself. I'm at war, all the time. Internally. It's as if each angry/sad/crazy/happy/mad (like the Mad Hatter, mad) can't win. There's a constant stalemate and consequently I'm almost always absolutely exhausted as a result, and I never, EVER, EVER, feel like I'm accomplishing even a quarter of what I want to. For a long time I've been promising myself I'd do a business related blog for the ebay store; streetwalkincheetahs, and then I realized that fashion, vintage, art, music...OF COURSE it's all related. There's tons of lovelies out there who are just going for it, and damn it, so am I. So here you are. A lonely voice typing to the dulcet tones of her tiny little snoring dawgs, one on either sock foot. Here I am, clad in a wife beater, vintage twentie's tap pants, and a ridiculously tired countenance.
Good night, all.
Good night, none.
Good night, moon.
